All books are subject to prior sale. All books are guaranteed as described, and are returnable if they are not as described. We accept all major credit cards, or payments can be made with checks drawn on U.S. Banks, or money orders.
Books will be shipped via U.S. Postal Service, Federal Express or Fedex Ground if the recipient has the account...as we value our books, we will not ship UPS. Shipping costs are $3.75 bookrate for the first book, $6.50 priority mail for the first book, $1.00 for each additional book. Heavy books or sets will be shipped according to weight. Global Priority and other international shipping will be billed at cost. We do not take responsibility for the U.S. Post Office's mishandling of packages, and so we automatically insure all better items.
We are always purchasing books of quality to replenish and enhance our inventory, whether a few volumes or large libraries. Condition is the crucial factor and we never purchase anything that does not look as close to perfect as possible.
We are qualified appraisers of books and provide valuations for estate, insurance, tax, or sale purposes. It should be remembered that the appraisal of books and manuscripts is a professional service of which a fee will normally be charged.
Books cannot be appraised or valued for purchase long-distance, we must see them first.
